Farm to table Helsinki in November
The ninth Farm to table Helsinki dinner will be in November in Kallio, Torkkelinmäki 22.-23.11. Långötorp farm's owner will host the dinner at her home and a communal table for fourteen people will be set for two evenings at 16.00 and 20.00 on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Farm to table Helsinki is gardener Merja Nieminen's and chef Heikki Liekola's dinner concept. Merja will bring best of her vegetable farm's and neighbours' ingredients from Tammisaari archipelago and Heikki will use them in his unique tasting menu. It will be paired with organic wines from Europe by Heikki's wife Sanna Hellström-Liekola. The dinner will be served by the three of us.
In November menu will consist of fresh kale from the fields and root vegetables, which are both at their best at this time of year. We have dried summer's herbs, flowers, berries and aconrs. There will also be umami bombs from the cellar, the fermented vegetables. We will also have wild fish from Långö waters, Heikki's father's hunted mushrooms, grains from Mörby organic farm and deer hunted by neighbour Alex Biström.
Menu costs 80 euros of which half will be paid at reservation.
