Small and a symphatic Restaurant Skörd is a local food and drink at its finest.
All of the restaurants food and drink incredients strating from wines are grown and produced in Finland, so there is no need to ask for traditional French wines or brazilian coffee from Skörd. There is only 24 seats in the restaurant which guarantees warm and cozy visit. Skörd means harvest, so in the kitchen, Head Chef Anton von Troil and his assistants conjure up delicious flavors from only local and upcoming seasonal ingredients, self-collected wild herbs and berries, game meat, fish and organic lamb. All the ingredients and drinks come from our beloved home country, Finland. On the dining room side, bartender Janne Kylmämaa serves Finnish-compatible beers, ciders, berry wines, self-made berry liqueurs and creates cocktails/moctails from seasonal ingredients.
The focus of all operations is on ecologically sustainable Finnish local production. The eco-friendliness has gone so far that Fiskars Brewery which has been selected as a winemaker, is re-selling the wine-making mash for ST1 biofuel production.
